Dr Michael Rowe is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust, where he joined in June 2024. Born and raised in France, he moved to the UK in 2007 for medical training and completed higher specialty training in Clinical Oncology in the South West Peninsula region.
He specialises in urological, upper gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary cancers, with interests spanning radiotherapy, systemic anti-cancer treatment and multidisciplinary treatment planning.
Alongside tumour-site expertise, he has a particular interest in complex radiotherapy including SABR, modern systemic therapy including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted therapy, and the integration of genomic testing into treatment decisions.
Dr Rowe is research-active, has chaired a national trainee research collaborative and is Principal Investigator on clinical trials. He also serves in medical leadership and co-hosts the weekly Simply Oncology podcast.
